TENNIS PROGRAM NEWS:

Adults:

*Clinics this week we focus on the transition game. This is often part of the game that we don't practice that much, but a good transition game is key to having success at the net. Having variety and good placement ensure that you will get an easy first volley rather than having to pick a shot off your toes! So come and spend some time working on moving forward to the net and see your results improve!

*Tuesday night ladies league is one week away from starting. It is a great time of year to be playing in the evenings and if you are looking for competitive match play this progressive league would be perfect. It is a six week league with play starting at 6:30pm each Tuesday night. You play three sets each night and are guaranteed  two new players on your court for the following week. If you have questions or would like to play please contact pro Tyler Brown at t.brown@newkscc.com.

*Also coming up is our 24 hours of tennis event on March 29th and 30th. All proceeds from the event are going to St Jude's Ranch for Children which is a local charity helping disadvantaged youths in our area. We would love for all our members to be a part of this event! There are a number of ways to be involved including taking part in one of the many clinics over the 24 hours, doing a 30 minute lesson with one of the pros, coming to the dinner on Friday night, playing in the ping pong tournament or taking part in the fitness mixer! Please reach out to Mallory or Graham if you have any questions. We would love to see you there!

Juniors:

*Our junior session continues this week and there is still time to join. Classes are offered for all ages and levels and starting your kids in a sport they can play their whole life is awesome! If you have any questions please reach out to Graham at g.miller@newkscc.com.

*Our next Match Madness event is coming up on March 30th and is a great way to get match play for the young junior player. To sign up you need to register with UTR which is free! You then go to the website www.myutr.com/clubs/683. If you have any questions about this event or are having difficulties signing up please reach out to Graham at g.miller@newkscc.com.
