MEET OUR TEAM

Graham Miller, Director of Racquets

With over 30 years of teaching experience, Graham brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to the court. A former top state and national junior player in Australia, he's held multiple leadership roles at the John Newcombe Tennis Ranch from 2002 to 2013, including Adult Tennis Director, Assistant Academy Director, and Summer Academy Director. Graham has been with us at JNCC since 2016 including the past 6 years as our Director of Racquets.

Isaac Vasquez, Program Director

Isaac Vasquez is the Junior Program Director at John Newcombe Country Club, where he has been a key part of the coaching team for over six years. Originally from Corpus Christi, Isaac combines a strong playing background with a deep passion for providing a environment for developing all levels of players.

Before joining Newks, Isaac coached at high school and middle school levels and worked extensively with summer tennis camps. These roles helped him hone his ability to motivate and communicate with young athletes, creating structured and positive learning environments wherever he coached.

At Newks, Isaac leads the junior program with a clear focus on fundamentals, discipline, and growth. His approach blends technical instruction with mental toughness, helping players build confidence and character both on and off the court.

Whether he’s coaching a first-time player or mentoring a high-level player, Isaac is committed to helping each athlete reach their full potential while enjoying the game.

Matt Kirkham, Racquets Professional

Originally from Nottingham, England, Matt is an LTA Level 3 high performance qualified pro who has held a variety of positions within Cliff Drysdale Tennis and PBI Tennis, including Junior Program Director at Bluewater Bay Tennis Center, Director of Racquets at Chateau Elan in Georgia, Hawks Cay Resort in Florida, Inn at Perry Cabin in Maryland, Carmel Valley Ranch in California and Houston Oaks in Texas before joining us at JNCC.

Nick Anderson, Racquets Professional

Howdy! I’m Nick Anderson, the newest pro at JNCC, and I’m here to help you take your tennis game exactly where it belongs: to the next level.

I picked up a racket at age 10 and haven’t looked back since. After playing four years of varsity tennis at Lindale High School, I jumped straight into the professional side of the sport. I’ve coached players at every level, from beginners finding their first forehand to championship-winning teams chasing banners.

I started my coaching career as an assistant teaching pro at Cascades Country Club, then went on to lead All Saints Episcopal School in Tyler, TX, to multiple state titles, including men’s, women’s, and overall team championships. Winning became a habit, and I was proud of our program that dominated year after year.

Most recently, I spent three years in Salt Lake City as the Junior Director and Teaching Professional at Liberty Hills Tennis Center, where I helped shape one of the strongest junior and adult programs in the intermountain region.

My passion? Simple: Winning through development. I thrive on turning potential into performance and making sure every player I coach sees real, measurable progress, and maybe a few trophies along the way.

Let’s get to work

Cate Johnson, Racquets Professional

Once a top junior for Australia (yes, the accent is real), I took my game to the U.S. and played division 1 college tennis at Oral Roberts University—Slight culture shock, but a fantastic competitive environment.

I’ve spent years coaching with Cliff Drysdale Tennis, helping players of all levels find their groove, their backhand, and sometimes their missing water bottle. If you’re ready to hit the courts and maybe even enjoy it—let’s go!
